On the 28th September, 1915, Pte J.W.Jameson, who cannot swim, walked into the Lys River, France, in the darkness. Boagey jumped in and saved him. September 1914 The third call (K3) for volunteers was made on the 13th and it produced the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th Batallions. 12th and 13th were allocated to the 68th Brigade of the 23rd Division and were to be trained at Frensham near Farnham. 14 and 15 DLI were allocated to the 64th Brigade of the 21st Division and were to be trained at Halton Park near Tring. MARCH 1915 12th and 13th both moved to Ashford in Kent. They received their khaki clothing and managed to do some musketry training.
